I think, if there’s something 2020 has “taught us”…
It’s not to believe everything that is presented as “truth”….
Not to believe every statistic, not to just believe every opinion, not to believe every headline…. there are “lies” they put out there as “truth” and a lot of times, fear is “infused” into that headline, that comment, that opinion.
We’ve seen this year, how, through the media, the enemy has attempted to push “fear” into our homes, into our hearts, into our minds, and into our actions this year.
I’ve felt it this year, I’ve felt that sickening feeling that can come with allowing it to sink into my heart momentarily…thankfully it never settled in. 💖☀️
If you start to feel fear in your heart after reading a headline, or listening to someone’s opinion in the media…. push it away. Put it down.
Don’t take it into your heart, don’t agree with it in your words and in your actions!
Turn to the Lord, lay that worry down, and remember what is true in Him.
It doesn’t matter what “they say”…it matters what He has said.
And it doesn’t even matter what the enemy is attempting, what really matters, is what God is doing. 💝☀️
What does fear do?
Fear can shut us down. Fear can shut us up.
Fear can lead to irrational behavior.
The enemy knows this.
Yes, fear is “powerful” in the wrong direction.
Fear is crippling to those who agree with it.
To those who believe the lie, that “it’s part of who they are.”
A person who is afraid and fearful can more easily be manipulated, they’re more likely to give up, to give in…to be weakened.
Agreeing with fear causes us to do things that are not in agreement with God.
It might cause us to give in, it might cause us to run and hide away. It may cause us to lash out…
But who God made us to be, does not agree with “fear”…… it’s actually quite the opposite…
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.“—2 Timothy 1:7
We so desperately need to be able to walk in His way right now!
We so desperately need to walk in agreement with God’s Word—the truth.
Because when we know the truth deep down, when it’s written on our hearts, we remember who we really are when fear comes around the corner, and tries to catch us off guard in attempt to shake us all up and get us off track.
God did not create His “Children of Light” to live in fear of the things of this world!
We have to remind ourselves of this, I have to constantly remind myself of this! Fear can often come wrapped in disguise…
But we can take hold of the peace that is given to us, and we can know that God is going to work all of this chaos out as He pleases, because He has a plan, and He has placed and positioned…. His people—us… those He created to shine with the Light of Christ into this dark world.
He chose “these ones” for this time…
He chose those who He created to do His mighty work in the earth….to shine His glorious LIGHT… for this time that we’re living in!
He chose us. 💖✨ Don’t you think He’s going to give us what we need to be able to do His work?
And He is walking us, step by step, day by day, decision by decision….
…into this incredible story of LIFE with Him. 🌷☀️
This is the life we’ve been given, and He wants us to LIVE it….
Not fear it…
And I’m learning how to “live this life” every day, in a new way….
Lord, help us to really LIVE this life! Help us to see the truth that we need to see in our hearts, that we may know the truth, and the truth will set us free!
God, help us to be EXCITED—that we would take hold of HOPE, because we KNOW that what You are doing, what YOU are working out behind the scenes…. we know it’s good, because YOU are good! And we know…
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes: but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” —Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”—Isaiah 40:31
“For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.“—Romans 8:24-25
“But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.”—1 Thessalonians 5:8
Thank You, Father. 💝
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”—Romans 15:13
HE IS… the God of HOPE! That’s our God! ☀️
