“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him and honor him…”

Psalm 91:14-15

I just read these two verses in a whole new way this morning. Read them a million times and there is something completely new to me as I read it again in this moment.

Isn’t it amazing how scripture can do that? The way it can reach into us and show us brand new things every day –the very same passage.

The Lord is saying that when we are in relationship with Him, when we are in His loving presence, this places us within the shadow of His wings, and that is a place of protection, deliverance, answers to prayer, and even honor. Isn’t that incredible? He wants to give those things to us, just for placing our love upon Him — trusting Him and having relationship and fellowship with Him, and calling upon His name.

The Lord is making this passage more and more real to me each day as I meditate on it and then –experience it. Thank you, Lord!
