I love to sit and watch as the morning sunlight brings the day to life.

We have the most beautiful sunrise you could imagine right here from our dining room table. I often like to just sit in it and close my eyes.

I usually wake up when it’s still dark, and then I get my coffee and have a seat at the table, and I’ll watch the sky when it’s in that inbetween time –right before dawn. I’ll begin to see the faint colors in the sky – blue and purple, sometimes pink…. hope!

Then I see a glimmer of the sun, but a cloud is blocking it from shining through.

But… then comes breakthrough, and suddenly I see a glorious, golden glow hit the land –everything comes to life. The new day has begun.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” – Psalm 19:1

I love how God’s creation shows us what the Lord also does within His people. How His Light awakens us and brings us to life, how He revives us.

“For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.” –Psalm 36:9
