I noticed a few days ago that I often focus more on the things “I’m not” rather than on the things that “I am”….
“Oh, that’s not me…”
“Oh I don’t like this or that…”
“I don’t do this…”
“I wouldn’t do a thing like that…”
“I’m not….”
Then it hit me that I know more about the things that I’m not rather than knowing about who I am. What good does this do?
So today I will think on the things the Word says I am –to think on these things and to agree with these things. Maybe someone out there needs to be reminded of these truths as well…
I am a Child of God (John 1:12)
I am chosen of God, holy and dearly loved. (Col 3:12, 1 Thessalonians 1:4)
I am wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
I am a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:21)
I am God’s workmanship and beautiful in His sight (Ephesians 2:10)
I am capable (Philippians 4:13)
I am healed (Isaiah 53:5)
I am a temple, a dwelling place of God (1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19)
I am called (1 Corinthians 7:17)
I belong (1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 5:30)
I am victorious (1 Corinthians 15:57)
I am more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37)
I can come boldly before the throne of God (Hebrews 4:16)
I am His daughter (John 1:12, Romans 8:14, 15, Galatians 3:26, 4:6)
I am free (Romans 8:1, 6:22, Galatians 5:1)
I have the mind of Christ – a sound mind (1 Corinthians 2:16, 2 Timothy 1:7)
I am righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21)
I am led by God (2 Corinthians 2:14)
I am redeemed and forgiven (Colossians 1:14)
I am rescued (Colossians 1:13, Psalm 91)
I am sheltered under His wings, hidden in the secret place of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1)
I have been given peace (John 14:27)
In my weakness I am given strength (2 Corinthians 12:10)
I am loved. (1 John 4:10)

Lately it’s like, “ok, Lord – what are You going to teach me today?” 🙂 Thankful that He is opening my eyes to these things.
