“You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.” -Psalm 139:16 TPT
We are living within the pages of the greatest story ever written.
I woke up with thoughts of great stories in my head. Great adventures.
The Lord is showing me that my pages of the story matter. They are part of my story and they are part of THE story that He has written.
My story fits into the bigger story by the most magnificent Storyteller of all.
“You have taken account of my wanderings; You have put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?” -Psalm 56:8
Our (boring, challenging, hard-to-read) pages are not to be hurried through or skipped over. It’s all part of the big adventure that God wants us to have as part of His Great story.
Our empty pages are not to be given away or wasted. We do have a say in how our pages read. Our decisions, our obedience, can affect the pages of our story.
He invites us to write our pages with Him! That we may tell a better story when it all comes together.
His story has invited us all to be a part, and I’m not going to lay my pen down or give it away. I’m not going to leave my pages blank. I’m going to get in there and write it with Him.
Isn’t that exciting? What an invitation that we all have. I can just see Him with His pen and ink, handing it to us to write with.
There will never be another story just like mine. There will never be another story just like yours. Isn’t that amazing? That we all have been so uniquely created for a reason. No two pages in this great story are alike, each page fits into the story.
“Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! …” -Job 19:23-25
I can just see all of us gathered around, reading and listening to each others’ stories of what the Lord has done in our lives…telling of His goodness, and giving Him glory.
As one reads from their own pages of the story, I can see another person light up as a lightbulb as they hear and understand how that person’s story fit into their own story and affected it in ways they never realized –and how together their stories fit into the Great story –how the Lord was in the middle of it all, and how it all came together so perfectly.
“Then those who feared the LORD spoke one with another; and the LORD listened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for those who feared the LORD, and who honored his name.” -Malachi 3:16
