12.1.18 – He sees me in the crowd.

Over the last few days, I’ve had a story playing in my mind… We are in sort of an “ancient” time, the setting feels like the time of Jesus. I’m standing there within the crowd as Jesus is walking by, through all of the people… and I am standing back toward the back of the crowd, near a wall -more of a corner. I’m looking for Him because I want to see Him, but there are so many people, I can’t seem to get through all the pushing and the shoving to get to Him. But I put my focus on Him… and then suddenly He turns and looks at me with these piercing, intense, warm, loving eyes, and makes His way toward me through the crowd.

Then, in that moment I know that He sees me, and He cares about me, I matter to Him too –even the one toward the back of the crowd who couldn’t manage to get through everyone to get to Him. He knows who I am, He knows my name, and He loves me.

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” – Psalm 16:8

Not sure why I was to write this today. I almost typed it up for a couple of days ago, and then I waited. Today seemed right for sharing it.

“Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God’s throne.” – Hebrews 12:2

I love this verse…

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” – Psalm 32:8
