12.17.18 – Connecting the Dots

It has been an interesting trail of “connecting the dots” this morning…

As I got up from the table to pour my second cup of coffee, it all started with,

“Have I not told you…”

…which immediately led me back to an old journal from August where I felt like the Lord spoke some things to me in a very out-of-the-ordinary way for me. To hear from the Lord like this was very new and unusual for me. And so, unsure of what to do with it, I just wrote it down and left it there for that time.

(Sorry in advance for this run-on sentence…) Reading over that which I’d written down for that day, I definitely needed to be reminded of it today, but this also led me to a note I had stapled into that journal, which led me to reading something that seemed, “oh so current” in my life right now. This brought me to a passage of scripture that I’ve been meditating on this morning, and I will share that with you here,

A Book of Remembrance

“Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,

And the Lord listened and heard them;

So a book of remembrance was written before Him

For those who fear the Lord

And who meditate on His name.

“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,

“On the day that I make them My jewels.

And I will spare them

As a man spares his own son who serves him.”

Then you shall again discern

Between the righteous and the wicked,

Between one who serves God

And one who does not serve Him.”

And then in Chapter 4, verse 2,

“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.”

What led me to writing this today? Don’t know why. But I felt like I needed to put this down here in my journal. And that’s all I’ll say about that today.

I love these little adventures the Lord takes me on.

He has invited us to join Him in this adventure –to be a part of His story. And He has offered us all a part.

I love that 🙂
