A couple of days ago, I had quite a challenging day. Most of the day was more of a struggle than usual, oh how I wanted to wallow in dread, how it was a constant fight to not stop every few minutes and have a good, wimpy cry –it was a harder battle than normal.
But –I’ve learned that the harder the battle, the bigger the victory will be on the other side.
That morning I had written in my journal,
“VICTORY, VICTORY, VICTORY”
And sure enough, the Lord brought me through at least 3 major “victories” that day.
I am discovering that there’s nothing quite like the feeling of coming out of a battle and into that victory with the Lord.
He is empowering us to be “overcomers”
What does it mean to be an “overcomer”?
“to get the better of in a struggle or conflict; conquer; defeat: to overcome the enemy. to prevail over (opposition, a debility, temptations, etc.); surmount: to overcome one’s weaknesses”
He is strengthening us in our weaknesses to step into being an “overcomer” — together with the Lord, to tear down our old ways, walls, hindrances, to take down the enemy… and to restore, to recover, to build something shiny and new.
The Lord is inviting us on an adventure to overcome and build with Him! ???♀️✨
