2.23.19 – My Rock, My Foundation

When I am in need of an assurance of stability, when I need to be sure that I am unwavering, I will declare the truth that Jesus is my rock, my foundation. He gives me the strength to stand firm. I know that when I am looking into His eyes, I will see and know the truth. When I know that He is my solid, unwavering rock, I know I will be given renewed strength to stand firm.

I needed to be reminded of these verses today. Thought I would share them with you as well.

“He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.” – Psalm 62:2

“In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed; In Your righteousness deliver me. Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly; Be to me a rock of strength, A stronghold to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.” – Psalm 31:1-3

“From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” – Psalm 61:2

“Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress.” – Psalm 71:3

“Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.” – Isaiah 26:4

“But the LORD has been my stronghold, And my God the rock of my refuge.” – Psalm 94:22

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?” – Psalm 27:1

“Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone; THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD, AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES’?” – Matthew 21:42

Luke 6:46-49-

The Wise and Foolish Builders

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

“I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” – Psalm 91:2
