“How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.” – Psalm 36:7
This morning I asked the Lord what was on His heart and I simply heard the word, “kindness”.
…So I thought about what kindness is and what it does this morning, how kindness – His kindness and the kindness of others has so impacted my own life.
Have you ever been just so incredibly moved by kindness?
The kindness of a friend? The kindness of a complete stranger?
The lovingkindness of the Lord?
There is much to “kindness”… it’s simple and yet it’s so incredibly powerful.
Kindness can change lives. I know it has changed mine.

Think about it – the Lord is kind toward us.
He is warm toward us, He is tender toward us, He is affectionate toward us, He is gentle towards us, He is concerned about us, He cares about us, He is helpful toward us, He is thoughtful of us, He is compassionate, He is understanding, He has a big heart for us, He is friendly towards us, He is generous towards us, He is patient with us, He shows us mercy and grace. He is loving toward us.
I love that about Him. ? I love when I see and experience that same characteristic of lovingkindness in people. It’s a beautiful, simple thing – one act of tender lovingkindness can completely change a life. I am realizing that things such as kindness can mean more to people than we realize.
“There’s no such things as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” -Scott Adams
Kindness carries love. His love. ??
Today I am reminded that when I feel tempted to get too busy to be kind, I need to stop and remember what kindness does.
“For His lovingkindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD is everlasting. Praise the LORD!” – Psalm 117:2
