3.8.19 – He Will.

Do you ever feel like you’ve discovered a treasure within a passage of scripture?

A “discovery” of exactly the thing you needed to be reminded of in that moment.

…In that trial, in the battle, in the storm, in that confusion, in that uncertainty…

His Word is true, and it really is a sharp sword that brings such a clarity – a powerful reminder that leads to such a recharge of confidence in Him. Confidence who He is, what He will do, and who I am in Him.

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” – Hebrews 4:12

Over the last couple of months especially, I’ve gone through some times of uncertainty, some fog –confusion at times, in my… “God, why are You doing it this way? Why is this happening?” And through it all, I’ve just had to cling to the truth of the Word. In the time when I am not meant to know and understand the work He has been doing “behind the scenes” I cling to the truth that I know the Lord hears me, I know He has heard my cries, I know that He cares, I know that He is leading me, I know that He will make my path straight. I know that He will guide my steps and not let me walk into any traps as I walk the path in obedience. Just keep going. Just keep clinging. Just keep trusting. Clarity and deliverance will come break through the fog.

This morning I feel so excited about a few passages in particular. Everything within me is screaming “YES!” and “THANK YOU, LORD! YOU ARE FAITHFUL! YOU ARE TRUSTWORTHY. WHEN YOU SAY YOU WILL, YOU WILL.”

You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11

My prayer…

Uphold my steps in Your paths,

That my footsteps may not slip ☺️

I have called upon You,

For You will hear me, O God…” – Psalm 17:5

“Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand,

O You who save those who trust in You

From those who rise up against them.

Keep me as the apple of Your eye;

Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,

From the wicked who oppress me,

From my deadly enemies who surround me.” – Psalm 17:7-9

He fights my battles…

Arise, O Lord,

Confront him, cast him down,

Deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword…” – Psalm 17:13

“…the snares of death confronted me.

I called to the Lord in my distress,

and I cried to my God for help.

From His temple He heard my voice,

and my cry to Him reached His ears.” – Psalm 18:5-6

What did He do?

“…He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe,

Lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.” – Psalm 18:14

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me;

    He drew me out of deep waters.

He rescued me from my powerful enemy,

    from my foes, who were too strong for me.

They confronted me in the day of my disaster,

    but the Lord was my support.

He brought me out into a spacious place;

    He rescued me because He delighted in me.” – Psalm 18:16-19

And here it is…

“Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great…

For You have armed me with strength for the battle.” – Psalm 18:35, 39

I am reminded of this song that I love by Ellie Holcomb this morning…

And I’m loving this new release by Beth Rowley, out today…
