“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow
of the Almighty.” – Psalm 91:1
I was thinking about the word, “abide” this morning.
For some reason I thought of that word as having a similar meaning as “dwell”, and it does, but it has more depth to it than I thought. It’s so much more than just “being in a place”…

I am reminded this morning, when we are dwelling in the Lord’s presence, that as we wait, as we remain, as we endure in this life…we are abiding under His shadow — we are kept, we are able to bear patiently, we are able to remain stable, we are able to continue in a place of peace within His presence. Because of His presence, we will remain stable as we wait upon the Lord.
Thank you for showing me this depth of understanding this morning, Lord.
