This morning I felt such an encouragement from the Lord.
Words poured out, and I wrote them down –words that I remembered from the promises He has spoken in scripture.
And then I heard part of the verse from Jeremiah 29:11,
“…I plan to give you a hope and a future”
…and then I thought on the word, “forever”
synonyms: for always, evermore, for ever and ever, for good, for good and all, eternally, undyingly, perpetually, in perpetuity; permanently, constantly, perennially, forevermore; abidingly, for keeps, until the cows come home
“The LORD shall reign forever and ever.” – Exodus 15:18
“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Forever!
He has given us “forever” – it’s already ours! We get to have a part in “forever” with Him.
Sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up in our daily troubles. But God is already thinking about “our forever” with Him. “Forever” is part of the “plan” He has for us. I love that. He thinks big for us, doesn’t He? ☺️
Life is all part of His plan and purpose, it’s all part of “forever” with Him.
“I make a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel; For He is the living God and enduring forever, And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed, And His dominion will be forever. – Daniel 6:26
“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” – 1 Timothy 1:17
But I love this verse from Psalm 91, verse 14-16 (NIV) where the Lord responds…
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
He wants to show us His salvation while we’re here living this life on earth. He wants to be our Help, our Provider, our Protector — Because He is our Father and He loves us so. It’s in this life that He gives us our beautiful testimony, our story of Him within our lives. Isn’t that beautiful and so tender and kind of Him?
Thank You, Father. ?
