4.9.19 – He’s Near

Our Father loves it when we turn to Him. ?

No matter how big, no matter how small. No matter the circumstance.

And guess what? I love that no matter how far we might think we’ve gone from Him in any kind of life situation, any kind of circumstance, no matter how many years have gone by…

When we turn to Him, He’s already right there.

When we turn and face Him, we see that He’s standing there with arms already open.

Isn’t that a beautiful picture?

Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

So many times when I’m writing to Him, or when I’m talking with Him, if I ask Him a question, often times I’ll start to hear a response even before I finish writing it out or even finish saying it.

He’s already on it. No matter what it is. He’s already on it, He’s already aware of it, He’s already figured it into the story, He’s already in it. He’s already working in it.

He’s near. He’s closer than we think.

And there are times when He seems silent, when I don’t hear Him speaking… but in those times I can know the truth –and the truth is that He’s near.

“From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” – Matthew 4:17

Ready to take us into His arms, and ready to giving us the refreshing we need.

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” – Acts 3:19

“So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.” – Luke 15:20

“For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” – Acts 2:39

I love this verse,
“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.” – Isaiah 13:15

The fact that He’s near used to make me extremely uncomfortable. Now, it’s my greatest comfort. ?
