“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.”
-C. S. Lewis
We are in such a time of breaking through and bursting forth. The Lord is doing all kinds of stuff that is just all right here. It’s stuff that is happening. All of this working, working, working that He’s been doing “behind the scenes” in that unseen place, in that place of waiting — it’s all breaking to the surface and bursting forth. Things are happening in this time of “breaking through” and they’re happening quickly –and perfectly.
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even put a road in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.” – Isaiah 43:19
It’s kind of like when you wait, wait, wait for a flower to bloom. For days you can see the bloom sitting there closed. But then one day, suddenly you see that it has opened up and it’s now “being a flower” in a brand new way. That flower will never be the same.
It’s like an egg that sits and waits and waits, quiet and still, and then suddenly a baby chick comes bursting forth from out of the shell. That breaking through led to the start of a brand new day for that chick. She will never be the same.
What an exciting time this is! I don’t understand it, but seeing pieces starting to come together so quickly, so beautifully, so perfectly, so brand new — wow. He’s up to something good. ☺️?☀️
I don’t want to miss any of it. ✨
