6.4.19 – “In-Process”

I’m in the middle of being “in process” right now — you know, like when you take a high speed burst of pictures all at one time with a camera and then the camera says, “in process” and there seems to be a bit of a delay before you can take more photos with the camera until it processes the burst of photos?

In other words, “woah, overload…. let me let this sink in a little bit” ?

Except there’s no time for delay. There’s no time to stop. So I’m writing about this place that I’m in right now.

I can feel the depth of something the Lord did within me this past weekend, but I can’t even come close to understanding it right now. He is letting me understand pieces of it though — I think. ? ?

Sometimes the Lord does things within us that take time to unfold. He has a reason for doing things the way He does. He takes the time to do things right, doesn’t He? I love that about Him.

I love when I can look back and see the beauty of His work, the way He carefully weaves it all together. It’s comforting to be able to see what He’s done so far, especially when I’m in a place of uncertainty and in the middle of the mystery.

If we didn’t have to face the hard things in life, the uncertain things, and if we ran the other direction to what seems “easy” or “safe”, we wouldn’t get to face and see the impossible with Jesus, and we wouldn’t get to experience His power in our weakness –we wouldn’t get to see His glory come from it all.

It can feel risky, but it’s worth it. He’s worth it.

The challenges, the waiting, the hard times, the trials, the weakness… all of these things allow us to be closer with Him. And then He does this “stuff” in and through us that’s completely overwhelming, and in time things begin to unfold in way we never could have dreamed or expected.

Then as we’re telling stories we find ourselves using phrases like, “the wildest thing happened” or “you won’t believe this, it’s impossible” or “I don’t know how it happened, but…” ☺️?

“but just as it is written, “THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.” For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

Getting to do life with Him is really something. And then we get to do eternity with Him too.

Trust Him, He’ll take you on an adventure. ?
