“And it will be said in that day;
‘Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the Lord;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” – Isaiah 25:9
I opened up to this verse this morning, just opened right up to it.
It was the same verse I felt drawn to when we went down to the North Georgia Revival for the first time.
I don’t know why God does things in the way He does. I don’t understand what His timing is all about.
And I don’t know why we have to wait for Him sometimes as we grow in desperation, in hardship, in weariness, in brokenness…
But I do know that in that time of waiting, in that time of trouble, He meets us in a way that makes it all worth it. He meets us in a way that will make us say,
“I would choose to go through that thing again and again –it was all worth it to be able to go through that with my God!”
In that time of waiting, He meets us in a way that carries us through until the day when we can say,
“Behold, this is our God! We have waited for Him, and He has saved us! Look at what He has done!”
