7.10.19 – Surrounded with Songs of Deliverance

Do you know what Psalm 91 is about? Promise. Covenant. Deliverance.

How we desperately need daily deliverance. How we need Him.

I asked the Lord what I was to focus on writing about today, He said…

“Daily Deliverance”

“Deliverance” is “the action of being rescued or set free.”

How is it that we can get to the place where we think we aren’t in need of that? Where we aren’t in a place of complete dependance, and complete desperation of the Lord… I’ve been in that place before.

As humans we are always in a place of needing constant deliverance, in constant need to being rescued –and we are in a state of being rescued way more than we are aware of.

“You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” – Psalm 32:7

Isn’t that beautiful? He surrounds us with “songs of deliverance”…please always surround me with these songs of deliverance, Lord!

This is the reality of what is happening right now. He’s singing over us, freedom and deliverance, good and wonderful things, He’s declaring who we are, who He created us to be — constantly reminding us of the truth of His Word.

I’m just feeling thankful this morning. How I so desperately need His daily deliverance. May I never get to a place where I ever think “I’m all good”, where I think I’m not in desperate need of His rescue, His freedom, His deliverance.

“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” – Psalm 34:1

I need You, Lord. ?I’m nothing without You. I always, always need You.
