What if….
What if God is bigger than anything you or I could ever do to “mess up” –any mistake we could ever make?
Well, He is.
Isn’t that such good news? Boy am I thankful for that! ?
He’s always “greater than”, and that’s the final answer.
God > (insert any kind of anything, any kind of mistake, any kind of thing you could think of or not think of, doesn’t matter, He’s greater than the problem, He’s even greater than the solution, He’s already taken care of everything.)
No matter what kind of mistake or any kind of “cause” and “effect”… the Lord’s already got it covered. He already knows what He’s doing. He’s always aware, and always in control.
This morning I was writing in my journal about something that happened yesterday, something I was making too big a deal of in my head –so I knew that this morning after I journaled it, this had to be settled once and for all before the Lord, and then this needed to be a brand new day. But as I was writing it down, you know, the good, the bad, and the ugly (it all gets documented because it’s all part of the story and God can use everything) I had this thought…
What if… God knows what He’s doing?
*gasp* ?
…He does! ??☺️
So thank You, Lord, for this timely reminder. A simple and profound reminder that helps me to start this day in a brand new, and refreshed way. As I remember that “You’ve got this”, I take comfort knowing that all I need to be concerned with is obedience, and You take it from there. ?
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” -Matthew 11:28–30
“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” – Romans 8:28 TPT
By the way, today is mine and Jason’s 10th year anniversary! I’m so thankful that the Lord knew what He was doing when He paired Jason and I together. Two completely different types of human beings. We’ve had our years of dwelling on our differences, and we still do from time to time, but I’m more thankful for those differences now more than ever. They are differences that help to bring us together in a more complete way as a husband and wife. What a 10 years it has been! ?Thank You, Lord!
