The Lord has me completely stuck on Jeremiah 29:13. I’ve come to it again and again over the last few weeks, He won’t let me leave it. I came to it again last night, and again this morning. I feel like it’s so key right now, so I’m digging into it a little deeper this morning, the Lord has put a few things together for me this morning…
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
The New Living Translation: “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
Here’s The Message version:
“When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” God’s Decree.
That’s a decree from God! What a promise!
I can’t help but also think of Matthew 7:7…
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
And look, it’s also in Deuteronomy 4:29:
“But if from there you will seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
“Therefore let all the godly pray to You while You may be found. Surely when great waters rise, they will not come near.” – Psalm 32:6
This is my prayer…
Move our hearts, Lord! Help us to seek You with all of our hearts! Show us how, show us what that looks like. You promise that we will find You, and we will see You, when we seek You with all of our hearts! Thank You for the work that You are doing in hearts, the warmth that is coming from Your heart into our hearts. ??
“I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart.” – Jeremiah 24:7
