As I’ve sat here with the Lord this morning, thinking over all the things He has done in my life, in the lives of those around me…
…all that He has worked out, all that He is working out,
…all that He has taught me, all that He is teaching me,
…all that He has led me through, all that He is leading me into…
As I’ve dwelled on these things, the Lord reminded me of this…
He loves to use those who have been broken and wounded to do His work, for His purposes, to learn, and to speak His truth…
…but the wounded and broken must go through His “process of mending and healing” or else the enemy can sneak in and take advantage –attempting to take us down when we least expect it, in ways we might not be able to see if we’re not seeing clearly, if sin or wounds are clouding or blocking our view. The Lord knows this, and it’s important to Him that we go through HIS process of “mending the heart” and “cleansing the soul” — He does this to guard and protect us from a downfall. There is purpose in His process. ?
“Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds.” – Hosea 6:1
“But I will restore your health and heal your wounds, declares the LORD, because they call you an outcast, Zion, for whom no one cares.” – Jeremiah 30:17
“Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,” – 1 Peter 1:22
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10
“In that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity.” – Zechariah 13:1
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt.” – Ezekiel 36:33
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3
“…let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” – Hebrews 10:22“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” – John 15:16
“Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.” – Jeremiah 33:6
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” – Matthew 5:8
“He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, 29 so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence. 30 For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption.” – 1 Corinthians 1:28-30 TPT
Thank You Lord, for Your beautiful, mysterious, and wonderful ways. Somehow, You do these incredible, seemingly “unlikely” things with such broken and wounded lives. May we see You in all of it, may we be willing to go through every single step of Your perfect process.
