Have you ever felt helpless about a situation in your life?
Well, you are… but you’re not.
If that makes any sense.
I ran to the Lord this morning about a situation I felt “helpless” in…
Sometimes, in some situations, the Lord is the only one we can really share things with, sometimes He’s the only one we can vent to –and that’s okay. Sometimes it’s just that way. Sometimes He wants it to be that way, for a time.
As quiet as I am, I’m the type of person who feels the need to be able to talk with a human being about things burdening my heart sometimes, and when I can’t do that, it seems to almost eat at me. But there are times it’s good for me to learn to depend on God and no one else. Sometimes He does His work in a hidden place, that we can’t see. But He will bring His light to the situation in the right time, and in the right way. I can trust Him. I can trust His timing. I can trust Him to do His part. I can know that He is working.
Sometimes there are things we are to keep just between us and Him, and we have to cry out to the Lord and ask Him to intervene, to do the work that only He can do. Talk to Him. Those prayers do something, you know. He hears them. He has a way of doing things behind the scenes to work things out better than anything we could attempt… I’ve seen Him do it time and time again, and it never ceases to amaze me. Then one day, when His light comes, when His work is done in the situation, it can be one of the most beautiful chapters to our story. ?We can see that He was the one who worked it out, and there is nothing like it, because we didn’t do anything to mess it up!
I spoke with Him this morning about a situation and do you know what I heard Him speak to me?
“I know”
…and then He comforted me with some words, and I wrote them down, and He filled me back up with hope, and He reminded me that this situation will be okay, that He is working, that He is aware, He’s already handling it, no need to try and take it into my own hands, just leave it in His capable hands, and that is okay. He has shown me this before, I’ve seen it, and I’ve been amazed…
He hears. He knows. Keep praying, keep talking with Him. He is listening. He is already working. He is faithful.
Thank You, Father. ?
