This morning as I was seeking the Lord, I was looking for Him, I was listening for Him, but conditions seemed a little “foggy”…
I wondered if I was just sleepy, wondered if maybe my coffee wasn’t waking me up enough just yet. Then I asked the Lord,
“Lord, what is going on? Why am I having a hard time feeling close with You this morning? Lord, this is awful!” ?
Then suddenly my phone gave me a weather alert that got my attention…
“Patchy dense fog early this morning… can create hazardous driving conditions early this morning with visibility near zero at times. Fog should begin lift or burn off with improving visibilities expected…. drivers should slow down and use low beam headlights. Leave early and allow extra time to reach your destination.“
So…
It seems there is a “fog“…. but in time, as I “slow down”, the “fog will lift or burn off” and “visibility will be improved.” I just need to “allow extra time to reach my destination” this morning.
And then came the clearing…☀️
Isn’t it funny how we attempt to put “limits” on a limitless God within our lives? Isn’t it funny how the Lord sometimes prefers to speak to us through weather alerts? ?I love it, Lord. You’re teaching me how to watch and listen for You in everything. ?God, help me to not miss You, how me not to miss seeing You, that I may be able to recognize You. You are a God without limitations! Help me not to place “limits” on You in my life! You may choose to speak to me through Your Word, or You may first choose to speak to me through a weather alert on my phone. ?Thank You for allowing me to see You and hear You this morning, God!
