12.11.19 – Something Changed

I came across a song that I used to listen to during a dark time in my life.

There was something about Sara Groves’ music that helped to somehow meet me in the dark place I was in. In many ways, I felt like I would never be able to change during that time, but God worked through her music to give me hope and comfort…

And I remember when I would listen to this song, I would long to understand the lyrics of this song personally, in my own heart. It seemed so impossible.

This morning it was like the Lord brought me back to this song to show me and remind me of His faithfulness. ?

Even when it feels like change is impossible, God loves to do impossible in us. He’s faithful to do the work He’s promised to do in us. ?

“Something Changed” by Sara Groves

Something changed inside me broke wide open all spilled out
‘Til I had no doubt that something changed

Never would have believed it ’til I felt it in my own heart
In the deepest part the healing came

And I cannot make it
And I cannot fake it
And I can’t afford it
But it’s mine

Something so amazing in a heart so dark and dim
When a wall falls down and the light comes in

And I cannot make it
And I cannot fake it
And I can’t afford it
But it’s mine

Thank You, Father. Thank You for the work that You’ve done, and the work that You are doing in me.
