1.19.2020 – The Song in Our Hearts

Music is so important in my life. For many years I used it in the wrong way, letting it bring me down even further, letting it set me back –further in the darkness.

I love what Sandra McCracken said in this video about this song that she wrote… how we can keep a song in our hearts that aligns with God’s truth, and “sing ourselves forward” with that song…

God’s Highway

My feet are strong, my eyes are clear
I cannot see the way from here
But on we go, He knows the way
And in His arms, He keeps me safe.

Fear not, keep on, watch and pray
Walk in the light of God’s highway

The shadows flee, The valley is deep
But evil cannot conquer me
Your rod and staff, They protect me
You give me rest, You give me peace

I see the shore, from troubled seas
This tiny ship that carries me
It is not yet, But it will be
So heaven come, It’s you we need

I’m holding onto you, Lord
You’re holding onto me…
I’m holding onto you, Love
You’re holding onto me…

Fear not, keep on, watch and pray

Walk in the light of God’s highway

God put a song in our hearts to keep us moving forward on His highway…

A song to praise His name, to give us courage when afraid, a song to encourage us and remind us to keep our focus on Him, reminding us that we can put our trust in Him. ?

He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.” -Psalm 40:3
