The Word of God is truly the “remedy” for anything we could ever face.
Isn’t that amazing? How is it so easy to lose sight of that sometimes?
The Word nourishes us, and it renews our minds when we begin to grow weary. How it’s so crucial…
If we find ourselves listening to the lies, the Word of God sets us back upright and on course with the truth.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10
The Word recharges us, infusing us with truth and hope.
Have you ever noticed that one of the first things that can sort of “fizzle out” is the desire to meditate, prayerfully on the Word?
…Whether it’s because of distraction or placing our attention on other things –even good things. Or because of weariness or lethargy…turning into apathy.
Isn’t it interesting how the Word can be one of the first things we tend to set aside –whether we realize it’s happening or not.
The very thing that nourishes us, and gives us strength.
Don’t you know there’s more to it than just words on a page… ✨
He is the Word.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” – John 1:4
Declaring Isaiah 40:31 personally is like taking a “supernatural vitamin” –I can read it and wait for strength and renewal to come…
“…but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
Have you ever really paid attention to the lies you’re allowing yourself to believe? It’s so crazy how it can happen without us even realizing it sometimes.
But we can dig into the Word, and discover the “truth” remedy to cancel out the lies… doesn’t matter how the situation seems in the moment, the Word is truth, and believing that the Word is truth, soaking it in, filling up on it — this will get us to the place where we’ll be able to see it.
…and before we know it, we’ll be able to see the Word made real to us within every place of our lives, even in every corner.
“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” – John 17:17
“…And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32
Seems like such a simple thing, doesn’t it? Almost “too simple”…
And it is. God has taken a thing that is deeper than deep, deeper than we can comprehend, and He has made it very simple for us. ?
I know this sounds silly, but sometimes I just want to curl up with my bible and hold it close to me, like maybe I can absorb it better that way. haha! ?I’ve done that and felt a little silly sometimes, but then I remember that God knows my heart. ?
God, I’m just so thankful that You’ve given Your Word to us, that You’ve made it for us to be able to use in our lives. Thank You for your reminders, Holy Spirit. You always lead us back to the truth, to the Word –to Jesus. He is the truth that sets us free. The truth that leads us into who we are to be. Thank You, Jesus. ?
