2.14.2020 – Rising Above the Pain

There’s something about the way He can use the pain we experience in our lives…

No, He doesn’t cause it…

But He can do something with the pain, in this strange and beautiful way, that makes it all…

Somehow worth it. ?

Somehow so beautiful, in spite of the pain.

There’s this thing He can do, to cause us to have the ability to rise above the pain.

To “go” and to “do” in spite of the pain that we feel, in spite of what tries to hold us back, in spite of what attempts to destroy us, to cripple us –whether it be emotional pain, or physical pain.

He soothes us as we endure. He comforts us as we’re broken. He strengthens us when we are weak.

We get to use His strength, we get to experience His comfort.

He gives us the wings, the ability, the wind…

To rise above the pain.

Yes, the pain may remain, it may be a “thorn in the flesh”…

But He’s doing something beautiful with it, and there’s healing in the process.

Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.” – Isaiah 52:1-2

The truth is, He has gone before us, and He knows what is up ahead.

And the truth is, He has prepared the way…

A way of VICTORY.

He has given us the ability, in Christ, to overcome.

That we may also become “Overcomers” in our lives…

How can we learn to become “Overcomers” if there is nothing to overcome?

He’s building character with the pain. ??‍♀️

He’s making something beautiful out of the mess. ???

As only He can do. ✨?

What would happen if instead of asking Him to take away the pain, instead of fearing and running from the pain, we learn to ask Him to make us strong and brave so that He can use the pain?

I trust You, God! Pain may come as the result of an attack of the enemy, but God, You have created me to OVERCOME, for in Christ, I am an Overcomer!

“The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:8

Thank You, Jesus. ?
