Heartbreak.
Disappointment.
The times when our “worst fears” actually seem to happen…
Things not turning out as we hope for, as we expect, as we desire…
The moment when we run right into these moments in life…
We probably don’t understand in the moment, we probably don’t know the “why”…
But we can trust that He’s with us in these moments. We can trust that He’s in these moments, moving in these moments, working in the moments — even if it’s behind the scenes, for now.
Sometimes things happen, and they seem like they just shouldn’t happen.
“God, how can this happen??”
But can anyone fully understand the “why” while living in this place we’re living in?
I doubt that we can even come close to comprehending it while living here on earth with these earthly minds.
But Jesus promises to heal our broken hearts. He promises to bring peace to soothe our minds. He promises to sit with us as we cry. He promises to give us hope, because He is our hope.
One day we’ll understand. ☀️
But for now, He so beautifully holds us. He soothes. He’s near. ??
“I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover. I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.” – Philippians 3:12-14 TPT
But the Lord has this way of giving us a fresh perspective…. He has this way of clearing up our concerns, our wrong ways of thinking when we ask Him the questions — when we take it all to Him and say,
“Lord! My heart is breaking right now. Here is my heart, broken open before You, and here is what I’ve got on my mind, it’s really honestly what I’m thinking right now, Jesus…. will You heal my broken heart, will You soothe my troubled mind, and will You bring new perspective that can only come from heaven?”
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” – Psalm 27:13-14
Thank You, Jesus. I trust You. ☀️I trust that You know what You’re doing.
