I love mornings when I wake up from a beautiful, brand new dream, and I get to sit down and dig into it, asking the Lord about it, looking back through my notes about the different dream elements, and what they mean to me…
Sometimes I’ll know exactly what the dream is saying, and other times I’ll know it’s just for documenting and recording for now.
This morning it was obvious that the dream was for me to understand now.
I don’t normally share my dreams on here, but for some reason I am feeling led to share a portion of this one on here this morning, not exactly sure why, to be completely honest.
But in the dream I was trying on dresses, and then I found “the right dress” and I was in this dress, and a girl (who I won’t name because I know her in real life, and the fact that she appeared in the dream was more about what her name means than it was about the fact that it was her – the name of the girl means “birthday” or “referring to the birth of Christ”) but this girl was helping me measure and fit this dress so that it fit me perfectly, and it did, it was lovely and perfect. It was a light and soft-colored cotton Spring dress, kind of a pastel “Springtime” color, and it was fitted at the waist, “belted“… (I think of Ephesians 6 where it’s talking about the armor of God, verse 14, “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist…”
The dress was being fitted to me perfectly, and I loved it. ?
As I was writing this dream into my journal, I glanced over to where I had inadvertently opened my bible to this morning…
and I saw this verse in Isaiah 52, highlighted in yellow…
“Awake, awake!
Put on your strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city!
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Shall no longer come to you.
Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
Sit down, O Jerusalem!
Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion!”
Here it is in the beautiful Passion Translation…
Zion Rejoicing
“Wake up! Open your eyes!
Beautiful Zion, put on your majestic strength!
Jerusalem, the sacred city,
put on your glory garments!
Never again will the unclean enter your gates!
Arise and shake off your dust!
Sit enthroned, Jerusalem!
Break off your shackles of bondage from your neck,
you captive daughter of Zion!
Thank You, Father. ? ?✨Thank You that You give us beautiful garments to wear. They are perfect for us –a perfect fit for our lives and our purpose. You desire for us to wear these beautiful garments that You have for us, not remaining in our old, worn down or soiled clothing. We are clothed in Christ! Thank You for the reminder this morning! And Lord, help me to “arise and shake off the dust” as it says in your Word. Help me to “break off any shackles of bondage” in my life, so that I can live freely in You.

Thank you for sharing.
I have never read your blog before today. I read an article you posted and hopped over to your blog. Today’s post is powerful! Today is my birthday and I have been wrestling with standing firm in a current situation or giving up because I am becoming emotionally exhausted. You have sent the reminder I needed to stand firm while I let God work.
Wow, Tia! That’s incredible! God is so amazing, I love how He works! I hope you had a wonderful birthday and may God infuse you with strength and endurance, and the encouragement you need to keep walking this journey with Him! Bless you! – Heather
