3.14.2020 – When things get harder before they get easier…

I wonder why things often get harder just before they get easier…

I wonder why, as we bring ourselves closer to risk, as we inch closer and closer to taking that next jump, the situation often becomes scarier before it’s not at all anymore.

I wonder why pain intensifies in the moments before relief comes…

Many things in life that are most worthwhile, never seem to be easy, but they are so worth fighting for.

As the saying goes,

“Anything worth having is worth fighting for.”

Sometimes life seems like an Obstacle Course.

We come to the places where we must “breakthrough” a particularly hard part in order to get to the next level of the course…

Imagine the course…

From a distance you can see the end of the level of the course you’re in, that it’s there for you to cross into the unknown “next” — the new…

You pause for a moment, and then you continue taking steps toward it, your knees trembling as fear intensifies.

How the “unknown” can make our imaginations want to run wild in the wrong direction, until we allow the peace of God to take us over.

But then the moment of breakthrough comes…

Everything intensifies, fear is roaring by now…

But there is One who is roaring “louder” and clearer on the inside, even as everything else is swirling around so loudly on the outside.

Suddenly you see a Hand reaching through the mist, you sense support behind you, guiding you, encouraging you as fear is so loud at this point, it can be almost deafening.

In that moment right before the breaking through, you grasp hold of this Hand, you grab hold with everything you got….

Suddenly in an instant you find yourself on the other side, not knowing exactly how you got there.

You look back just behind you, and suddenly you can see from a different perspective –His perspective.

Much of the threat, the outrageous uproar, the extreme intensity… it was all nothing but a mirage– a very “real” illusion designed to frighten, to stop you, to distract you, to keep you from the breaking through into the new.

Thank God He can see clearly from His perspective, always.

Alway, always.

He will never lead us astray.

We may not do things perfectly, we may stumble a bit, but He’s getting us there.

Because He’s a loving Father who always knows the way.

Thank You, Father. ?

“God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble—
more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes,
moving mountains and casting them into the sea.
For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves
cannot erode our faith in you.
Pause in his presence” — Psalm 46:1-3 TPT
