This song came on yesterday… and something about it felt like the “cry of many out there in the world” right now. Perhaps it’s the cry of many who are going through this challenging and troubling time of uncertainty.
But then the Lord gave me Psalm 46 ☀️(I encourage you to read it in it’s entirety… wow.)
Here’s the song, and below that are the verses from Psalm 46:
SOS
by We The Kingdom
I’ve been blinded by
Insecurity
All the pain I feel
Could be the death of meI’m surrounded by
Fear that won’t let go
If there’s a way out
Someone let me knowI’m reaching out
One last plea
Is hope all gone?
Somebody save meSOS
I’m lost at sea
Is hope all gone?
Somebody save meI’ve seen traces of
Joy that never ends
It seems so far away
If it’s even realThere must be more than this
Change me if it’s true
If You are for real
Help me follow YouWhy do I do the things
I don’t wanna do
I don’t wanna do
When all they do is hurt me?
From Psalm 46, verse 1,
“God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble,
therefore we will not fear…”
verse 5,
“God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.”
And here is God’s response in verse 10,
“Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”

Thank You, Father! You’ve told us exactly what we are to do when facing these kinds of things in life, we are to simply turn to You, with open and repentive hearts, and You’re right there to remind us that You are in the midst of what we’re facing, and that Your people will not be moved. We cry out “SOS” and You help us, just at the break of dawn. You are leading us in Your way, everlasting! You invite us into the protective shelter beneath the covering of Your wings. ☀️
