4.24.2020 – Lessons from Butterflies

I came across some beautiful news yesterday on social media…

The 300 million Monarch butterflies will be arriving in our area within the next couple of weeks as they migrate north. ?

There are so many lessons we can learn through watching the ways of the butterflies.

Layers upon layers of lessons that are built into these beautiful little creatures. ☀️

As I read this news yesterday, I couldn’t help but get excited and think…

“Okay, God, I’m going to dig into this and watch, and I’m going to look around, and I want to see what You could be saying to us through this example within Your creation.”

This particular video was from 2019, but these butterflies take this journey every year…but I can’t help but think about the timing of this, mixed with what is going on right now…

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.” —2 Cor 5:17

Lord, Your ways are beautiful. Your ways bring us hope! Your ways and Your creation, give us a deeper understanding of Your heart, Your character.

So much mystery is revealed to us within the smallest, simplest of things. ?

Thank You, Father. ?

  1. Hi, Heather.
Just wanted you to know how much I’m enjoying reading your posts. I stumbled on it by accident one day and have since bookmarked it so I can go to it easily. It seems like no matter what the topic or post is that I read, it seems like it coincides exactly with whatever is going on in my life at the time. It really blesses me and has been a great addition to my devotional time. Thank-you so much for sharing your talents for the Lord.
    Blessings, Becky Ward.

    1. Hello Becky! Wow! It just amazes me how God can work like that! I never know exactly why I am to write every day, other than He just puts things on my heart, and then He completely takes it out from there and does all kinds of things. It’s so encouragng to hear how He led you here and how He has been speaking to you so personally through the posts. I love how He’s so personal with us. Thank for taking the time to share this with me, Becky! Bless you! -Heather
