There is something valuable that is gained from a “process”…
“Process” is defined as,
“a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.”
Could I miss something important if I skip a step?
Will the lesson thoroughly sink in if I rush over the steps too quickly?
Could I miss something valuable and extremely necessary, if I don’t follow at the right pace, at His pace?
“And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” —James 1:4
“I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the Lord.’” —Ezekiel 37:6
“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”—Hebrews 10:36
This is what the Lord is reminding me of this morning,
“Don’t rush the process…don’t push through the lesson…there is a reason for the steps, there is a reason for the time of waiting for the final outcome, there is a purpose in learning patience, and there is a valuable (and necessary) lesson in the process. Stay by My side always, do not rush ahead no matter how good and right it may seem, and do not lag behind in discouragement or veer to the side out of distraction. Just trust My timing and My leading, and let Me be your guide.”
Oh God, help me to be patient in the processes You are taking me through in my life, help me to remember that there is a valuable lesson within every step of every process that You take me through. Help me to walk at Your pace —never trying to run ahead, never trying to run off to the side, and never lagging behind. Thank You for Your perfect process —I know You’re doing something wonderful and necessary in me.
