Can you believe it’s June? ?

Time is so strange!

This morning, as I’m reflecting on a few things, I’m sitting here thinking of how God’s ways are just so different than our ways…

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.” —Isaiah 55:8-9

In this journey with Him, He is teaching us His ways, and we are learning His ways and getting to know His heart and His character…. but who are we to ever think we’ve “got Him all figured out” and that we know exactly how He will choose to go about doing something?

Just when we think we “know” what God might do….or even what we hope He might do… perhaps because He has allowed us to see something in part, …but just when we think we “know” exactly what it’s going to look like… isn’t it interesting and funny how a lot of the time His ways of doing things are so far different than what we could have ever expected or dreamed up?

And guess what? The way He chooses to unfold things is always better than any idea we could have about how we’d like the situation to unfold. ?

There’s so much more happening than we can see. Don’t allow the enemy to convince you into disappointment, just remember that our Heavenly Father is so beautifully and deeply mysterious✨— and His ways are so far beyond what we can comprehend.

But He’s good, and He sees us, and He hears us, and He knows. ?✍?

When things don’t look exactly like what we thought they’d look like, we can trust that He is always moving, and that He hears us, and that perhaps, what He chooses to do, and how He chooses to do things is just going to be a little different than what we might have expected it to look on the surface.

Isn’t that so like Him, though? ?I love that He cannot be contained in a man-made box. ✨

Thank You, Father. Will You just cleanse away any ideas I have formed in my own little mind about Your plans? I may not understand why You choose to do the things You do, and the way You choose to do them here in what we can see right here before us…. but I trust You, and I know You’ve got some pretty amazing and exciting, and really good things up Your sleeve…. and that’s all I need to know. ?
