My husband and I are photographers, and over the last few years, we’ve been so privileged to do a lot of work for a local magazine where we get to visit different towns across the state, and we photograph different makers, and creators, and so many talented business owners across our beautiful state.
Well, as I’m sure you know, during the last few months, we haven’t been able to do as much of this kind of work, due to a lot of the things going on in the world right now.
Yesterday was the first time, in a few months, that we were able to get back out there and work on one of these kinds of photo assignments— and it was wonderful. ☀️
I was reminded yesterday, in so many different ways, through several different people, of how—even in the midst of the tremendous time of “chaos” this world is living in, there are beautiful people who are just an absolute “oasis” of kindness…
And it’s just such a refreshing reminder to me…of the incredible power of kindness. The incredible power of gentleness.
I want to be “that person” to someone else, I want to be that kind of relief, that kind of refreshment to someone who desperately needs to be shown kindness and gentleness in such a chaotic world…
So thank You Lord, for allowing us to come across these sweet people, these kind people, in a world that is so angry, and so self-consumed.
And thank You, Lord, for reminding me that kindness does a lot of good to a person’s heart… how incredibly powerful a little bit of kindness can be! How it inspires me to remember to treat people with tenderness, and grace, and kindness.
“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” —Ephesians 4:31-32
