8.6.2020 – Do you ever find yourself “wrestling”?

God allows us to “wrestle” through things, sometimes…

Have you ever felt you’ve had to “wrestle” your way through something?

To “wrestle” means,

“to struggle with a difficulty or problem.”

Maybe you’re wrestling with a series of circumstances…

Maybe you’re wrestling with a lack of understanding or clarity or because of being in a scary place of “unknown”…

Maybe you’re wrestling with your own mind…

Maybe you’re wrestling with your inability…

Maybe you’re wrestling with surrender…

Maybe you’re wrestling with your own heart…

But do you know what a struggle does? Do you know what “wrestling through something” will do when we face these things with our God?

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop enduranceAnd endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” —Romans 5:3-5 NLT

And I love The Passion Translation of this passage,

“…Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!”

We learn to push through, we gain determination, we gain strength…

We learn. ?

We grow. ??

This morning I waited and waited… and yet I didn’t have anything on my heart to write. So I was about to share a song that I’ve been listening to—and there are many times the Lord leads me to do that…but I tried to make the post and it just wasn’t working.

…And it hit me that I needed to push through because there was something God had for me to write on here today…. from this place in my heart, where He has spoken to my heart. ? I needed to just keep pressing through into that place… because it was there for me to find, it was there for me to discover and to write about this morning.

This is what He is speaking to my heart this morning,

“My Daughter! You can rejoice in the midst of your struggles! You can stand confidently in your hope in Me! Though you may wrestle, though you may struggle, though things may not be as easy for you as you’d like, though you must try again, rest knowing that I am seeing you through, and within these places you struggle…. I am building, in you…. I am building something beautiful and valuable and strong. I building something that only I can build, I am building and restoring something that only I can restore. See the truth of what I am really doing. Trust Me, keep going, and rejoice!”

Thank You, Father. ?☀️

God, You take us from being like stubborn “donkeys” and make us into “horses” ? ?
