There is this mysterious “way” that He does things… this way of His that is so “hidden above the surface” of what our eyes can see…. “that thing we never thought we’d be doing”— and yet suddenly… we find ourselves doing that thing.

And it feels natural—or perhaps I should say “supernatural” —it’s not forced. But how? I don’t know! ✨

It’s like riding a bike with training wheels, and before I know it, the training wheels have suddenly disappeared…. and here I am riding this bike for real.

“When did they disappear?”

“Here I am doing that thing that I never thought I could do….”

And I’m suddenly doing this thing I never thought possible… and with ease.

It’s like a child who goes from crawling to walking… one step, and then another step….. and then another step —maybe a fall or tumble here or there, but the crawling days are over.

We usually can’t see these transitional moments when they happen, but God has this way of allowing us to look back and see the change, to see the difference, to see the supernatural transformation.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” —Isaiah 55:9

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” —Proverbs 3:5
