So this morning I had a question on my heart… a question I had really never thought to ask before, specifically….
And when I understood… it was like this…
“Hey wait a minute…. is this what was happening? Is THIS what that was? Oh my goodness…. I’ve come into a ‘clearing’ and now I’m understanding ALL OF THIS, THIS, and THAT…… all of this that I never was able to sort out before! I can understand what was going on and what is going on now…”
It was a question that I think the Lord had “formed” and put on my heart—one that I was honestly very surprised that I had never really thought about or considered. But it was time for me to grasp this thing….?
And it was like an “explosion” of understanding filled my heart up, along with an incredible burst of joy and excitement and giddiness…. ?
The Lord let something sink in…. He turned the light on… ? Suddenly He made a clearing, and all of the things that had stumped me before, all that I had wondered about before (related to this subject), all of the things I had never seemed to “get” before…. suddenly it’s all making sense, suddenly I could see what was going on all along… as I walked into this clearing.
Suddenly I “got it”…..
Suddenly I was able to “see”….not just the answer to my question, but all of the other dots started connecting as well!
Then came my wonderings…
“God, why did You wait until now? Why did it take so long before I could understand this thing? Why is this just now ‘clicking’ Lord?”
…and then after I threw those questions out there, I realized my questions were a little silly…. but thankfully, He knows my heart… ?
But the thing is…. there’s a reason He puts us on a journey to seek and to find and to search…. there’s a reason that we have to go through periods of time were we don’t necessarily grasp something yet or understand something or see it clearly.
He doesn’t do this because “He’s withholding from us”— He knows what taking the “journey” will do in our hearts, and He knows it’s better for us to seek and to find often times, than it is to just quickly “know” in our minds.… sometimes He has to “get us there” in the journey.
He knows that within the journey, we gain desire, we take that hunger that He places within us and we take that journey to seek and to find, and we learn to be faithful with what He does give us, little by little, we learn patience, we learn endurance….we keep going, we keep discovering, we keep seeking Him… He knows this grows us and He knows this does something deep within our hearts.
He knows what the transformation process needs to look like for each one of us, and it’s not going to be the same for everyone…
We simply follow, trust, and obey… and He does the transformation work. ?✨ And we get to be amazed….
“Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.” —Proverbs 14:29
“The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.” —Psalm 119:130
What else has happened me in during the process leading up to this moment of understanding, in this process of transformation and preparation that He’s leading me through?
“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” —Proverbs 4:7
Would I have this much excitement at this “discovery” and moment of “revelation” if I hadn’t of had it on my heart to seek and to find and to learn and to grow….. had I not been on this journey, had it not been a process, would there be this much joy and excitement about this new understanding that has come? Would I be celebrating in this way?
He knows what we need in our process, He knows what we need in the journey, and He’s gone ahead to set it all up for us, that we may grow along the way…
Thank You, Father. ? Thank You for this little “moment of celebration” I feel like I’ve had this morning, as I’ve received this new level of understanding from You! What a blessing!
