9.5.2020 – “God, You’re so much more wonderful than I ever expected!”

This morning as I was sitting here with the Lord, looking at some things with Him, something hit me….. this sort of realization mixed with joy.….

I wrote in my journal, attempting to describe this realization in words…

“…it feels like communication and communion between me and the Lord has ‘opened up’… like some of the ‘blockages’ have been removed… allowing more of the flow of the Holy Spirit in my life…”

“Blockages” that had been hindering a life of free-flowing “communication” and “communion” between me and the Lord….

…and these “blockages” had been dissolving… until some of them finally dissolved away—they’re being washed away…and now I’m realizing what has been happening, and what has happened that is now allowing more of the “flow” of communication and communion between me and the Holy Spirit into my life. ?

In my journal I wrote,

“…and it’s beautiful, and it’s refreshing, and it’s relieving, and it’s inviting, and it’s flowing… and it’s like I’m waking up…waking up more and more and more...

…(heart bursting) Father, You’re so much more wonderful than I ever expected!!”

And He says in John 10:10,

“…I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Yes, You did, Lord. In so many ways. In more ways than I ever expected.

Song of God’s Faithfulness

25 Lord Yahweh, you are my glorious God!

    I will exalt you and praise your name forever,
    for you have done so many wonderful things.
    Well-thought-out plans you formed in ages past;
    you’ve been faithful and true to fulfill them all!
” —Isaiah 25:1 TPT

And I also love it in the NASB version, and I feel it expresses my heart so perfectly this morning…

Song of Praise for God’s Favor

“O Lord, You are my God;
I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;
For You have worked wonders,
Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

I love this song by Sara Groves, it’s so sweet and simple, and I feel that it expresses my heart….this sense of surprise and delight in the realizations of how wonderful He is!

Thank You, Father. You are “over-the-top” wonderful. ?✨
