You know, I never was really interested in too much when I was learning in school.
I never really was interested in any kind of in-depth studying… never felt the need to have all of the information, and didn’t care at all to know how to do all the things. I really didn’t care too much, to be honest.
I wouldn’t have ever considered myself to be a good student.
I behaved in class, but I wasn’t excited about learning anything, really.
But over the last few years, the Lord has drastically changed something in me…✨
He’s put some kind of intense curiosity—a hunger within me, to discover more of who He is and to learn about His beautiful, mysterious ways…to know Him.
“Lord Jesus, who is this Heavenly Father I’ve known from a distance all my life? Who is the person of the Holy Spirit and why has He been calling me to come closer? To listen closer? What are these dreams I’ve been having all about, Lord? You’ve been speaking to me all this time, haven’t You? You’re leading me to dig into something aren’t You, Lord? You’re inviting me into something… You’re inviting me to discover You through relationship with You…”
And suddenly when it comes to this “subject matter” I find myself studying like some kind of “scholar wannabe”…?
I find myself wanting to devour these kinds of lessons—lessons of learning about Him, knowing and discovering Him.
Like a sponge…
Filled with wonder… ✨
And you know….
…this—learning about who God is and how He speaks and how He works—this is a “lesson” we’ll get to learn into eternity.
It’s a discovery that we’ll keep on getting to discover…
Because He is never-ending. ?☀️
We’ll always get to be learning about Him, about His ways, about His character, discovering more of His heart…
For eternity!
(…Even at this pace and this level of intensity that I’ve found myself going in… ??♀️? )
So I’m just thankful this morning… because I know He put something in me that was never there before. ?✍?
And it sure does make life a lot more fun and joyful and exciting… and full of life.☀️
Can you just imagine what heaven will be like?
Thank You, Father. ? Thank You for allowing us to know You, and to discover You in this way. What a joy it is to get to have relationship with You.
“Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.”—Psalm 25:4-5
