One of my favorite singer-songwriters, Sandra McCracken has just released new album…. and I dug into it this morning. ?✨

I was drawn to the song, “You Are With Me”….
In an interview, Sandra writes:
“”You Are With Me” is sort of a 2020 anthem. When I wrote this one, a friend and I were each going through a season of strain and anticipation in our personal lives. When we walk through narrow life passages, when we can’t see what’s around the corner, it’s a comfort to know that God is with us. I hope this song is a reminder for people who are alone to know that we are never truly alone.”
I’m so drawn to the honestly and realness and the reminders of truth in her songs… and as believers, we go through these kinds of seasons she writes about. Her music is full of powerful declarations and anthems we can use to remember the truth, that…
“No matter what, God, I know “You Are With Me”…I will declare it and I will remember it! You are forever faithful!”
What a joy to remember this truth, what an incredible anthem that infuses hope and joy into our hearts—no matter what kind of season we find ourselves in. ☀️
And it is all part of His plan to shape us and grow us and teach us along the journey we take with Him.
“You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way,
and in kindness you follow behind me
to spare me from the harm of my past.
With your hand of love upon my life,
you impart a blessing to me.
This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible!
Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.” —Psalm 139:5-6 TPT
And it not only do these powerful reminders fill us up with refreshed hope as we remember the truth, and when we reflect on His faithfulness…
…it blesses Him when we remember His faithfulness and declare it before Him. ?☀️
No matter what season you find yourself in right now, the truth is, He is with you! And He is for you, and not against you….
And He wants to you to be aware that He is walking through this thing with you, and He wants you to know, that it is always His heart to draw you nearer to Him—that you may experience communion and deep closeness with Him. ☀️
Thank You, Father. ?
If you’ve found yourself in a place of not being able to feel that He’s there with you… just take your hand and reach it out to Him, and say,
“Lord, I know that You are here with me, You have promised that in Your Word. But I’m desperate to feel Your presence! Will You infuse me with Your presence, and will You speak to my heart, that I may know within the deepest places within me, that You are here with me right now?”
Quieten yourself, and just rest and wait on Him…
I dare you to! ?
