The enemy usually works in very subtle ways…

Usually, he doesn’t show up wearing his “red devil suit with pitchfork and pointy tail.”

…he usually tries to fashion his work—his webs and schemes— in such a way, that they would seem almost exactly like something that would be of God….

But it’s counterfeit.

Fake. False.

And it doesn’t lead to life—it doesn’t point to Jesus… it leads to death.

“Counterfeit” is defined as,

“made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud.”

Something that seems so close to the real thing…looks like the real thing, acts like the real thing, seems as good as the real thing….

But the “real thing”—Jesus— is missing….

And the intent and purpose behind the whole thing is for deception and destruction.

The intent and purpose is to lead us away from what is real and what is true, while leading us not into freedom, but into things that will keep us bound, a web that would keep us trapped, secluded, and blinded…

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”—1 John 1:4

…Until God shines His light on the deception… until He waves His hand through the spider web and tears it all down… ?☀️

And Jesus says, “look and see“…..and we can see…. and He says, “Remember…I am the TRUTH, I am the only WAY, and I lead you into LIFE!”

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”—John 14:6

God, thank You for leading us in Your way! Sometimes the “counterfeit” can seem so overwhelming… sometimes we look at the situation and say, “God, how would we ever be able to know?” But You give us “eyes to see” through what is counterfeit in this time, You give us the ability to see through the plans and schemes and counterfeits of the enemy…. thank You for shining Your light on the schemes of the enemy that attempt to trap us and pull us away from You. It’s happening everywhere, and in so many subtle ways, and Lord, You know that it can be exhausting. We need You! You are the only way through the “impossible”…Thank You for giving us Your wisdom and discernment through Your Holy Spirit, giving us the ability to see through what is false, what is fake…. and what is counterfeit….

Jesus, You lead us into what is true, You give us eyes that we may see THROUGH into what is true…and with every step, You’re so faithfully and miraculously leading us into LIFE! ☀️

And You’re so faithful and wonderful to teach us along the way. That we may know Your ways through and through…
