10.19.2020 – Keeper and Caretaker of My Heart

“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”—Proverbs 4:23

Father, You are the One I can trust completely—to be the Keeper and Caretaker of my heart.

You are the One I can trust to hand my heart over to completely. ?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”—Proverbs 3:5

Father, I declare my trust in You, to hold my heart in Your hands…

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”—Psalm 51:10

How You watch over my heart, how You reveal the places that are broken and need fixing and mending…

The places in my heart that need to be purified so that I can see the truth…

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”—Jeremiah 17:9

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”—Psalm 34:18

You show me the places of my heart that need to be purified, uprooted, built anew…

…the places that haven’t yet been fully opened up to You…

“But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.”—Matthew 15:18

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”—Psalm 19:14

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”—Ezekiel 36:26

You search and test my heart in a way that only You can…

“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”—Jeremiah 17:10

“Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.”—Psalm 26:2

And You guard my heart in a way that only You can…

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”—Philippians 4:7

How You refill my heart with joy, and with peace and with the strength I need to endure…

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”—John 16:33

And Father, I thank You for the work You’ve promised to do in my heart…

The things You’ve promised to write upon and within my heart, through and through

“I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”—Psalm 119:11

It’s a thing that only You can do…

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”—Mark 12:30

Father, I trust You with my heart.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.”—Psalm 28:7

And with “my song” I give thanks to You. ?

Thank You, Father. ? What an overwhelming joy it is, simply getting to know You. ☀️
