Over the last couple of years, the Lord has taken me deeper, and deeper, and deeper into Psalm 91. ☀️
And it’s like, before my very eyes, I’m getting to experience, and I’m getting to live….. in my own life, in my own journey… these truths and promises that are within Psalm 91.
This morning I took notice of verses 14-16, which is God’s response to the declarations of trust made in Psalm 91…
And I love this passage in The Message translation…
““If you’ll hold on to me for dear life,” says God,
“I’ll get you out of any trouble.
I’ll give you the best of care
if you’ll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I’ll answer, be at your side in bad times;
I’ll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I’ll give you a long life,
give you a long drink of salvation!” (The Message)
We have a God who pursues us….to have relationship with us—here and now! ?
The God who created ALL THINGS wants to pursue me…. He pursues you!
And He wants us to get to know Him—He opens up His heart to us, and He wants us to grow and grow and grow in our trust in Him, as we walk through life with Him, getting know Him, learning His ways, learning about who He is.
…And He desires the most beautiful,
one-of-a-kind relationship…
A relationship made to flourish, with each one of us. ??
Relationship takes work, it takes vulnerability, it takes learning, it takes giving up what I want sometimes …it can be a great challenge.
But when a relationship flourishes, it’s the most beautiful thing…
And He pursues us in the purest, most “organic” and super-naturally “natural” kind of way…
Suddenly, we find ourselves in a beautiful adventure with Him… ✍?
—A mysterious, miraculous, one-of-a kind journey of a relationship that unfolds so perfectly and purposefully… ??
And as we turn our hearts toward Him, we get to see more and more and more of Him, we get to know more and more of who He really is. ?
And we learn more and more and more about who He created us to be.
And it’s the sweetest adventure…
Relationship isn’t “easy.”
It can be a challenge.
But the joy of getting to know Him, and learning to trust Him far exceeds all of that.
“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.”—Psalm 91:14 (NASB)
He’s doing something in all of this. ✨
In all of this that He’s designed and created. ?
As we live this life, He’s showing us who He is, and He’s showing us who we really are,
…and He’s showing us His salvation.
Thank You, Father. ?☀️
