Sometimes when I wake up, and go to the table to sit with Him…
I’ll walk in sleepy and tired, unsure of what God will want to do, wondering if I’ll be able to hear Him…and in that moment I’m honestly unsure of whether or not there will be a “breakthrough place” where I’m able to commune with Him, where I’ll be able to feel the reality of the closeness of Him being just right “here” with me…
Honestly, sometimes He feels distant at first. Sometimes He feels far away.
…but when I simply come… and I simply “be” before Him…
“Here I am, Father. I’ve come…just me, being me.”
…how He he never fails to surprise me with the way He reaches me and speaks to my heart so deeply in this Secret Place with Him.
This morning I found myself drawn to listen to the new Kari Jobe album, and I spent some time listening to “Your Nature” and “Rest”…. and then the Lord just broke me open, the tears came flooding in, and I felt the sweetest tenderness—the tender love of my Heavenly Father… I felt it just break in —and I felt it saturate and infuse me again.
Sometimes we need to be reminded that,
“I am seen.
I am known.
and I am loved….”
By my Heavenly Father. ?☀️
And He knows this!
How He loves to surprise us, with such a tender-loving reminder of this truth straight from His heart.
And when we come to Him, we’ll find ourselves wrapped safely, and solidly in the warmth of His love…
And from this place…
All the things that trouble our minds, all the things that we have weighing on our hearts—all the concerns about not being enough, not being where we’d like to be, all of the burdens of life….
In His presence, all of that is washed away and lifted, as we realize…. again…. and again…and in a deeper way—how much we are loved by a Heavenly Father who loves us right where we are…
…imperfections and all. ?
And it’s the safest place…. and in this place, we’ll find rest.
We can rest in the delight of our Heavenly Father. ??
We can rest knowing that He loves us, right here, right now, and we need not worry or be concerned about “not being enough” for Him.
His love says otherwise. ?✨
And do you know that we get to be “uninhibited” with Him?
“expressing one’s feelings or thoughts unselfconsciously and without restraint.”
We get to be unrestrained, unreserved, open, candid, unconstrained—carefree with Him!
Wild. Unrestricted. Unafraid.
Unbridled. Unfettered. Unchained.
Unhindered.
Free-spirited.
Released.
Free.
Do you know that you’re not “too much” for God?
You’re not “too much”… for Him to handle.
He invites His children to come before Him, and we simply get to “be”….before Him, and with Him.
And He delights in us. ??
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”—Zephaniah 3:17

Come, and rest. Let Him do the “impossible” work in you.
He will get you there,
…we need not worry or strive over the journey. It’s happening so perfectly in His time. ✍? ?
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”—Matthew 11:28-30
“And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”—Exodus 33:14
Thank You, Father. ?? You don’t withhold Your love from us, how You fill us back up continuously with Your love for us, constantly reminding us of what we need reminding of, constantly filling us up with the realization of Your delight in us. How You love spending time with us… we never need to feel that we are “too much for You” because the truth is, You love us through and through. And You invite us to simply “come” and “be” with You. ?
