This morning I am finding rest in the truth…
…that God’s Word does not return void.
“So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.“—Isaiah 55:11
I am finding hope in His Word.
“You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in Your word.“—Psalm 119:114
“God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”—Numbers 23:19
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.“—Matthew 24:35
No matter what we see, no matter how things look on the surface, no matter how “unlikely,” no matter how “hopeless” the situation may appear…
“There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.”—Proverbs 19:21
We live in a world where things are going to seem “unlikely”…
…they are going to be deemed “impossible”…
…they are going to look, “not so good” on the surface…
…on the surface, it could seem as though “all hope is lost”…
But who are we going to trust? Who are we going to believe in?
“Lord, it’s looking this way, I’m seeing what things look like through my physical eyes…. but help me to see through the eyes of faith! Help me to hear beyond what I hear in my physical ears, let me hear with ears that are listening and believing in You.”
Will we choose to stand—to hope in His Word, regardless of what “they’re saying” or regardless of “how things are looking?”
Will we set our hearts on the Word of the Lord so that we can stand firmly with Him?
Will we believe in what He has said?
And He says…
“I distinguish the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come, saying: ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.'”—Isaiah 46:10
“Jesus told her, “I told you that if you believed you would see God’s glory, didn’t I?“—John 11:40
Remember….
He is like the sunrise. ☀️
“The people who walk in darkness
Will see a great light;
Those who live in a dark land,
The light will shine on them.“—Isaiah 9:2
“For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.”—Isaiah 60:2“Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
And all flesh will see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”—Isaiah 40:5
“…he dawns on them like the morning light, like the sun shining forth on a cloudless morning, like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth.”—2 Samuel 23:4
Thank You, Father. ? You have spoken, for it is written, and “it is finished.” ☀️✍? How I love Your ways…
