I find it interesting…. fascinating…
That December 21st is officially the “shortest day, and the longest, darkest night” of the year…
But we’re heading back out of it, starting today, as we start heading back into the longer days.
I also find it interesting that today is the day we are to see a sight in the night sky…“The two largest planets in our solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, will align on Dec. 21 to create what’s sometimes referred to as the “Christmas Star”…
Perhaps a sign?
Perhaps a piece of a “pattern” in this mysterious puzzle of life?
I don’t know.
I hear there are some assumptions and theories and conspiracies going around about what this day “means.”
But I say,
May all of it only cause us to look to Jesus in awe and wonder and reverence of His beauty… may it remind us of His miraculous birth—the Light of the world!
May it all cause us to remember to ALWAYS watch expectantly for Him to meet us with His LIGHT in the darkest places that we face. ☀️
God says that there will be signs in the heavens. That’s part of the purpose of Him creating them…
“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years…”—Genesis 1:14
He desires to use these signs and wonders in the heavens to draw us closer to Him for the interpretation, the answers, the understanding that we seek.
May it all just draw us closer to our Heavenly Father.
Let’s not place our focus on what “this person says, what that person says”…
But what is God showing us, as we’ve turned our attention—our focus, our eyes, our hearts toward Him?
He prepares us in our hearts.
He’ll show us what we need to be shown. ?☀️??
It’s easy to get distracted and bogged-down in this world.
It’s easy to get discouraged.
It’s easy to become afraid.
But God is always wanting to get our attention, and He’s constantly reminding us to look to Him for what He’s going to do, for what He’s going to show us, for what He’s going to do in us, in the earth…
And remember that He is the God of HOPE. ?
So whatever all of this could mean, let it only draw us closer to Him.
Let it draw us into a closer closeness with Him.
Let it cause us to turn our gaze upon Him…
And may we excitedly, and eagerly “stand on our tip-toes” like a little child…. waiting expectantly to see Him. ?✨
…In whatever it is He plans to do next. ??
Thank You, Father. ?
