It’s interesting how the world of social media, has become “a world”….
Especially right now, in this time.
For some, it’s the only “world” they’ve got right now… for some it’s the only place where they are communicating and interacting with other people.
Isn’t that wild??
There’s a lot happening in the “world of social media” right now…there are a lot of lies, a lot of division, a lot of confusion…it can be a dangerous world, but God is still in our midst. He is moving, He is working, He is speaking…
He has spoken. ?
This morning, as I sat here with the Lord, asking Him what’s on His heart this morning, and I had this “wondering” come to mind….
“If God were to make a social media post to put into the world of social media, into this dark, chaotic madness, in the midst of all of this fighting and bickering, in the midst of all of the lies, all of the deception…. If God were to make a social media post to all the world, what would He write? What would He say?”
And I thought, “Oh wow, Lord! Are we really going there?”
I believe, God wants us to remember…
To remember what He’s already said—what He has spoken is eternal, it is true, it is sure, it is established.
I believe He wants us to remember what He’s promised, and to be mindful of what He’s asked us to be on guard about in this day and age.
I believe He’s asking us us to look to see Him with our whole hearts, to remember Him—His ways, His character, His heart, His Words—in the middle of this chaos…
Here is what I believe He wants to remind us of:
“Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”—Isaiah 40:28-31
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28-30
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” —John 14:27
“…the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” —Romans 8:6
“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace...” —1 Corinthians 14:33
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things…and the God of peace will be with you.” —Philippians 4:8-9
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” —John 16:33
No matter what we see happening around us, no matter how it seems, no matter how it feels, THIS is reality, this is now.
“But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God…”—Acts 7:55
And He IS working behind the scenes. ?☀️?
This is my prayer for all of us who step foot into the world of social media today…
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all.” —2 Thessalonians 3:16
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”—Romans 15:13
Thank You, Father. ?
