To the one who feels all alone in what they are facing…
To the one who is suffering in silence…
To the one who is just trying to quietly make it through…
To the one who is “in hiding”… while “hanging on by a thread”…
To the one who is just trying to hang on for dear life…
To the one who is trembling in times of uncertainty and unknown…
To the one who doesn’t know if they can make it through another day—but it feels like there’s no one within reach who they can grab hold of…to help pull them out of the quicksand…
To the one who feels they’ve messed up too much in life for anyone to ever care about them…to ever be redeemed…
To the one who thinks their issues, their suffering, their trouble is too “small” to bring up in the midst of times like these…so they attempt to suffer through it alone…
To the one who is fighting SO HARD to stay strong, to keep going…but they fear it’s not going to be enough…
To the one who is afraid of slipping back into their dangerous old ways…
To the one who feels their “need for prayer” should just be pushed down, pushed away, because “there are too many others who have a much greater prayer need than me.”
To the lonely, the downtrodden, and the brokenhearted…
To the one who’s had a broken heart for 20 years…and it doesn’t seem to be getting any less painful…
YOU are on my heart this morning.
YOU are on His heart, this morning.
You always have been, He has seen every moment, all along the way.
You are seen. You are known. He has His eyes on you, because He cares for you.
He wants you to know that He cares about what you are facing, no matter how “big” and no matter how “small or insignificant”… it matters to Him.
And even though it may not feel like it, He has been there, with an extended hand, ready and waiting to pull you close, to pull you up!
He has been waiting there, ready to soothe and heal your broken heart,
to let you know that He’s there,
to remind you…
That He came to “heal the brokenhearted”
He came to “proclaim liberty to the captives”
He came to bring “recovery of sight to the blind”
He came to “set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
Jesus came, for YOU.
It is always okay to desperately need Him!
And He wants to do a work in you, that YOU might allow Him to work through YOU. That other “ones”—the poor in spirit, the broken hearted, the afflicted, the lonely, the oppressed… might experience Him through your life.
Luke 4:18-19 ?☀️
He sees the situation you are facing right now.
He sees your hopelessness, He sees your heart.
He sees your “dilemma” that seems too “silly” to you—”too insignificant” to even bring up to anyone because “everyone is facing far greater things in the world right now compared to what I am facing”…
You are seen, you are heard. You are loved.
You are not alone, no matter how lonely it feels.
No matter how unseen you think you are right now.
No matter how “helpless” you feel right now.
He’s there. And right now, He’s reaching out to heal your broken heart.
He sees the situation you are in, the situation that “nobody else could possibly understand”… but He does.
To the “one”… He says,
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” —Matthew 11:28-30
Reach out to Him, and be amazed and surprisingly, “overjoyed” at the healing work He does in your heart.
It’s what He does….
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.“—Psalm 147:3
Let Him heal your heart. ?
And let Him heal other broken hearts, by Him working through yours… ?
May you experience such a closeness with Jesus today, and may you know that you know that you know, that yes…He has come to heal your broken heart. And in the midst of your pain, in the midst of whatever it is that you are quietly going through, may you experience Jesus being everything you could ever need.
Thank You, Father. ?
