I was the “one“…
I was the “one” who hid myself away in bitter silence…
I was the “one” who felt I could never belong…
I was the “one” who almost gave up hope in the darkness…
I was that “one”…
But…
I was the “one” …You didn’t forget…
And I was the “one” You didn’t overlook…
I was the “one” You never
stopped
seeing…
I was that “one”…
And I was the “one” …You came after…
I was the “one” You called to come near…
I was the “one” You always wanted to speak Your heart to…
Yes, I was ALWAYS that “one”… to You.
And I am the “one” You pull close.
I am the “one” You cherish.
I am the “one” You always, never stopped loving,
never stopped calling,
never stopped wanting…me…. this “one.”
And you are the “one”…
…you are the “one” He never stopped seeing…
…you are the “one” He never stopped calling…
…you are the “one” He never stopped loving…
…you are this “one”…
Father, thank You for knowing each of us as “the one”…. so personally.
For each “one”… each “one” of Your children is precious in Your sight, and each “one” belongs to You.
You have a place for each “one” in Your heart.
And God, You are the One we trust.
You are the One we praise.
You are the One who created each “one” of us to LIVE in this time…
You are the One…
Who never gave up, never will give up on us… ?
“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.”—Matthew 18:12-14
“And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’”—Luke 15:6
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows…“—Psalm 23:1-6
“…They shall be My people, and I will be their God…”—Jeremiah 32:38
Thank You, Father. ?
